Received it too.  Researched as well and no luck.  Don't know what to do.

I received this too. Does this have to do with that darn chip reader they want me to shell out $149.00 for?

It seems to be relevant to people who sell stuff online and use PayPal for checkout. But I only sell thru sites like EBay or Etsy.   So, why are folks like me getting this email?  those big merchandise websites do need to make sure they are ready for this, but personal accounts mostly should not be affected.

I use Paypal for checkout for a product I sell on my Blogger (Google) hosted website. I have no clue what they are referring to in the email to me. I created the shopping cart button for my website through my PayPal account. Very straight forward. No talk about all the technical stuff in the email they sent.

I received this email also. I wasted too much time trying to figure out if it is phishing. It's probably a real Paypal communication. It's also one of the lamest examples of customer service I have ever seen. I am ignoring it and deleting it. If my Paypal stops working, I will go to Woo Commerce. This is the third, and maybe last time Paypal has created problems for my business this year. Don't bother trying to find someone to talk to though.

Paypal -

1) Do not demand we do something but not tell us how to do it, nor offer help getting it done. Telling us to go to the person "responsible for Paypal integration" is totally irresponsible. One shouldn't be a tech geek to use Paypal.

2) Do not talk to us in tech jargon. Use a communications specialist on this when you talk to us, not some engineer type.

I just got this email too.  I take it you haven't heard anything from PayPal yet?  I would assume it is a scam.
