Hi, as an accountant for a 501 (c) (3), I am wondering if most nonprofits recognize their full amount of revenue (gross) and then show the Paypal fee as operating expense? OR... Do most nonprofits recognize simply the donation less the Paypal fee (net)? Any feedback, articles, or sites would be helpful. I have an idea of how I think it should be recorded, but interested to hear from others. Thanks!
