My paypal balance is wrong

My PayPal balance doesn’t add up. I have been calling PayPal support since 5th October 2016, today is 10th October 2016 and still my balance hasn't been corrected. I was told to wait between 24 and 72 hours. Its past that time and still all I get are tentative answers from PayPal support to just wait!! Till when? Anyone else who is dealing with a similar issue?  I have never had problems with paypal until now :((

Is your transaction activity reflecting your balance correctly?

If you are asking if there are any pending transactions, there are none whatsoever. My problem is my balance shows that I have less money than I should. I reported this matter on 5th October 2016 but the balance is still incorrect to-date (10th October).

Support accept the balance is less than it should be so its not speculation. It has been confirmed. 

 

 My problem is; they can't tell me how long I should continue waiting. The 72 hour waiting period is over and still nothing so far so how long should I wait and why should I trust what support is telling me when they haven't kept their word in the first place?

It's really frustrating. Can't transact with less money.

Ok, but however on your Activity page, is the balance correct?  Click Details view on the right. Could just be a display issue with the PayPal balance indicator on the Summary page is what I am saying.

Otherwise there maybe some transactions missing and you will need to speak with an agent yet again as this is a user to user forum and we do not have access to people's accounts here.  Even the forum moderators will direct you to contact PayPal customer service.  You can also reach PayPal via Facebook and Twitter as well as click Contact on bottom of page.  Press zero when you're on the line for and agent.  Maybe ask for tech support specialist.

Therein lies my problem. Paypal support keeps telling me to wait. Initially, I was told to wait for 24 hours then for 72 hours. 5 days later, my paypal balance is still incorrect (less than it should be). Should I keep waiting indefinitely?

Finally after 6 days of waiting, I got a call a few minutes ago from PayPal that my balance has been corrected. Let me be fair and acknowledge that the problem has been corrected. However, it took too long.
