How long does it take to recieve a payment?

I am new to Paypal. I just signed up on Monday so I can start recieving payments for a company I am doing work for. The owner said he posted the payment yesterday but I still have no activity on my account. How long does this typically take to get a payment?

if he sent it to your Paypal email addr,it should be almost instant,but it could be held for review or if it is goods and services,and you are new,could be withheld for 21 days.

Most new sellers will then upload tracking,once tracking shows it has  been delivered,then it would be released 3-7 days but in your case,you have no tracking,so it could be 21 days.

Paypal has to adhere to country laws againts terrorism and money laundering,so be patient

21 DAYS....wow! I wish I would have known that and I would have went with the paper check option. So everytime I get paid on paypal I have to wait 21 days before I can get my money?

When you received payment for services you willl also be charged a fee.

PayPal review various security risks for payments.

It probably is better to just accept checks rather than the hassles of PayPal.
