Help with invoice and payment

I created an invoice while I was communicating with a buyer. I created an invoice but I cancelled it at 8:51 est due to the charge not sufficient enough to cover the cost. However at 8:54, I received the funds from the invoice into the account and the buyer said that the money was taken from his bank account which is connected to his paypal. What exactly should I do if the payment came through even though I cancelled the invoice beforehand?

If the transaction is completed in your PayPal account, then simply refund.
