I'm trying to update an old checkout page page to use checkout.js using the Server REST flow and while one time payments work just fine, recurring payments show $0.01 on the paypal "Agree & Pay" window. We've verified that the correct amount gets charged for the recurring payment in the end, but the client gets shown an amount of $0.01 regardless of what their checkout amount actually is.
In this case above the test amount was supposed to be $25. I've searched for possible causes to no avail, does anyone have any insight on why this is happening and how we can go back the to the old behavior of not showing any amount at all on the "Agree & Pay" screen?
