Accepting credit card payments for non-business transaction

My ex wants to use a credit card to reimburse for expenses. Do i need a business and a business account in order to accept his payment? How can I use paypal for this type of transaction

If you, the seller, want to accept credit card payments:
To accept credit card purchase for in-person transactions you will need a credit card reader (free from PayPa) and you'll need to set up a PayPal Here account.
On the seller (giver) end:
Your ex can send money from a personal PayPal account by using the friends/family option; the money is sent as a non-refundable "gift". How the ex funds the PayPal account is up to the ex, not the one receiving the funds.
